This is the third in a series of monotypes reflecting on the lightning whelk shells used as tools by the Calusa, ancestral people of the region in Southwest Florida that my family immigrated to.

This unique print was created by manipulating offset ink on a plate and transferring to hefty, cream colored printmaking paper made in-house at La Ceiba Gráfica, a printmaking workshop in Veracruz. Akin to paintings, unlike editioned prints, this print is one-of-a-kind.
