A diptych of woodcuts created during my residency at La Ceiba Grafica. These were crafted under the tutelage of Marco Avilés Herrera, master printmaker at La Ceiba Gráfica, who introduced me to the Japanese tradition of moku hanga. Each image was burnished by hand onto kozu produced locally at La Ceiba, using natural and synthetic pigments suspended in water and rice paste. This edition of 8, pairing Nightfall in La Orduña and Dawn in La Orduña, is housed in a large envelope made of handmade cotton paper.
