A work from a series inspired by the Montezuma Oropendolas that called so beautifully from the trees in Coatepec, I offer this amidst the deepest collective grief. Against cynicism, the handmaiden of acquiescence, I imagine a freedom such as birds have. A freedom from national identity and borders, a love of movement, of flocking, an anarchic call and response ringing from our depths unencumbered by fear.
