Created while in residence at La Ceiba Grafica, Veracruz, this is the first of a series of three monotypes inspired by the verdant environs of the print shop. 

La Ceiba Grafica is located on the outskirts of the town of Coatepec, whose name derives from the Nahuatl "cóatl" for serpent, "tépetl" for mountain or hill, and 'c' denoting a place. 

This large, unique print, was created by manipulating offset ink on a plate and transferring to ivory Strathmore printmaking paper. Akin to paintings, unlike editioned prints, this print is one-of-a-kind.
